As a leader in the Carnegie Vanguard High School Rotary International and Junior State of America clubs, Siddharth is ready to inspire our campers. His other interests include trivia and debate. You can find Siddharth planning activities for our Debate, Record Breakers, and Innovators and Imitators sessions.

With years of experience in senior center care, Audrey is ready to try something new and help out our young campers. She credits her opportunities at a local food bank for teaching her to maintain enthusiasm, be engaging, and be welcoming to new people. The Bellaire High School junior has helped expand our virtual activities to accommodate twice as many campers.
Kendrick Dilworth

Kendrick is a rising senior at DeBakey HSHP. His previous experience includes volunteer -based clubs at school, and he has goals to become a better person and give back! Kendrick has helped us plan for many sessions this year, especially Power Walk.
Mia Ahn
Camp Counselor
Mia Ahn is a high school freshman, Girl Scout, and Through the Roof volunteer. She's helping us prepare for our afternoon physical activity camps, especially Olympic Fitness and Popeye in Training. This CVHS rhino's passions include writing, puzzles, and trivia.
Ernest Haberman

Watch out for this college freshman with a need for speed - typing speed, that is. Ernie has explored computer science and statistics for several years, starting with his experiences in the Duke University DukeTIP program. If you need a spreadsheet cleaned at 2:00 a.m., Ernie's the one to call.

Valerie is a sophomore at DeBakey High School who loves working with children. She has experience in leadership roles from National Junior Honor Society, and she will apply this experience as a counselor in our Color Theory and Modern Activism camps.

Hi campers! This year, Tanilah will be a senior at DeBakey HSHP. She aims to attend nursing college and be a neonatal nurse. She loves music, painting, and her younger siblings. This year, she's proud to be a counselor at both Lessonologists and the DeBakey incoming freshman program.
Hussein Maleki

Hussein is a high school senior who values communication and engaging with others. He aims to work in business, especially as a manager or leader. Hussein will lead our Innovators and Imitators camp.
Isabelle Chan

Isabelle is a rising junior at DeBakey HSHP. With experience with research, biology competitions, and HOSA, she hopes to bring valuable contributions to Lessonologists campers and other counselors this summer! You can catch Isabelle at any session this year - she's in all of them!

Leah currently studies at DeBakey High School for Health Professions. Her goals at Lessonologists include teaching children to read and sharing her passion for literature. You can see Leah in our Fantasy, Comedy, Horror! and Codebreaking camps this year.

Before joining Carnegie Vanguard High School, Shanti learned the ropes of debate as a Debate Club helper for the Lincoln Douglas competition. This high school junior never shies away from arguing for the win during competitions and board games. Shanti is excited to see his campers in Debate as well as Jumping Jammers.
Hester Huynh

Hester is passionate about getting children interested in the sciences. His relevant experience includes 2 years of volunteering with young children at the Houston Zoo and tutoring middle schoolers. As a current intern at Sea Center Texas, an aquarium and fish hatchery, Hester is ecstatic about his opportunity to teach children about the wonders that lay in our oceans.

Hello campers! Shania Fernandes, a high school sophomore, can't wait to see you this summer. Through being a counselor, Shania hopes to gain the necessary skills to be successful in her future endeavors. She hopes to become a better leader, communicator, and person overall. Her experience includes babysitting for children ages 2 and up.

Joy is a sophomore at Bellaire High School. She is passionate about helping students express themselves, their passions, and their skills through public speaking. This year, she is reviewing our Modern Activism camp with a focus on social change.

Shazia Rahaman is an incoming junior at DeBakey High School who aspires to become a pediatrician. She's passionate and award-winning in various areas, including visual art, health sciences, language arts, and debate. With experience as a virtual tutor and student ambassador, Shazia is excited to bring her skills to our sessions.

You can catch Melissa as a present in Week 1 of our summer enrichment series, where she plans to bring leadership and enthusiasm to each camp.

It's time to get moving with a staggered workout! This year, Rohan developed our brand-new physical activity session that focuses on proper technique, hydration, pacing, and high energy. Beyond the Staggered Workout camp, you might find Rohan engaged in other service projects for his school and neighborhood.

Iniya is a rising senior at DeBakey High School. With plenty of experience in tutoring at Kumon Learning Centers, she knows how to effectively keep kids engaged. She's ready to share her interests in dance and writing, especially during Lessonologist's writing and dance camps!
Arpan Dutta

Arpan is a student at Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston, Texas. He has been tutoring for about three years, and he really enjoys it. Arpan looks forward to working with Lessonologists and helping out all the campers as he presents a wide variety of topics (basically all of them!) in our morning and afternoon sessions.

As an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader for her Boy Scouts troop in the area of the First Class Trail, Srilalitha learned the value of effective leadership and communication. She aims to display these traits as a Lessonologists counselor.

This DeBakey High School sophomore has practiced debate in the LD, PF, Congress, and World Schools formats. His passion for debate stems from opportunities in middle school, which is why Spencer aims to inspire campers to pursue debate as early as possible.

Stephanie is an upcoming junior at Carnegie Vanguard High School. She is a part of the varsity girls' soccer team and plays Center Defensive Midfielder. Her goal in the far future is to become a lawyer and become a helping hand to the community.

Hrish is a senior at Bellaire high school, an officer for both the Robotics and Future Problem solvers club, and vice president of UIL Science. He is fairly experienced with tutoring as he tutors underclassmen for Bellaire's National Honor Society. Coming up: Hrish takes on a new challenge with our wild summer students.

In 2022, Chiamaka broke our record for leading the most consecutive summer camp sessions, so we are confident that she'll be an awesome counselor this year. Chia isn't afraid to slow things down and focus on technical skills with her campers. She's also never run out of summer-themed puns.

Hannah is a recent graduate of Bellaire High School, and she'll be studying Political Science at St. Louis University-Madrid in the fall. The 2023 Cigna Scholar has contributed to our Poetry, Writing, and Modern Activism camps.
Sophie Golanov

As a Lanier Middle School alum and current Carnegie Vanguard High School junior, Sophie Golanov can't wait to see where this year's campers are from! This is her second year helping out with our Dance camp (one of the most popular sessions). Her past work in tutoring includes both in-person and virtual activities at the Science Museum.

Malaika is a Bellaire HS senior, Key Club vice president, and student newswriter. Last year, Malaika was a presenter for seven camps and a Zoom helper for three - the most out of any 2023 counselor! She values creativity and skill, but she's always willing to be patient as our campers learn and grow.

Tobi has several identities - passionate public speaker, debate coach, and contemporary writer. In our Writing and Poetry camps, Tobi is sure to impress with samples of her Scholastic Gold Key-awarded writing pieces. Tobi is a junior at Carnegie Vanguard High School.

Sophia is a high school junior and part-time restaurant manager. Her leadership experience has taught her that it's worth taking time to destress, which is why she will lead our Meditation camp in the summer along with several other sessions. Sophia's long-term goals are to attend college and join the medical field.

Aryanna Mosaffa is a sophomore at the University of Houston. She has a history of giving back to youth in disadvantaged communities, and you can usually find her in our most relaxed camps, like Yoga. Aryanna hopes to create camp activities aimed at high school students.

Oscar is a high school senior, soon-to-be programmer, and National Merit Semifinalist. He has used his experience in creating applications and programming languages to maintain the Lessonologists website and check on the camp's virtual security features.

Ready, set, go! Evelyn Rodriguez has launched off of CVHS-topia and landed in the magical world of Lessonologists summer camps. She is a committed mentor and loves all of the wacky conversations she has with her campers. Evelyn's long-term goals are to make a History camp at Lessonologists and promote our History tutoring section.

Here comes Yadhira Cruz, a Debakey High School alum and a proud owner of the biggest smile you've ever seen! Yadhira believes that a virtual format shouldn't stop campers from practicing teamwork and social interaction skills. That's why she led group activities in more than half of our camps last year. For now, Yadhira is coming up with sea-themed jokes for our Aquatic Ecosystems camp.

Tatianya Sanders is a sophomore at Bellaire High School. The North Carolina native is a dedicated student of Spanish and History. Tatianya is exceptionally interested in the "Horror" section of our Fantasy, Comedy, Horror camp, but don't worry. She won't try to spook the campers - unless they misbehave...

Although Ashley was our only freshman counselor last year, she won over our campers' hearts by rocking out to the "Trolls" movie soundtrack during our Dance camp. This year, as a sophomore, she hopes to reach a wider audience. Her relevant experiences include a student advocacy program and her work in the Bellaire High School dance team.

Audrey is a recent graduate of Bellaire High School. She has over 50 hours of community service experience through National Honor Society and the Bellaire Chinese Club. Last year, Audrey helped out with our Color Theory, Aquatic Ecosystems, and Yoga camps. She always hopes to see more campers from Pin Oak middle school, where she first began volunteer service.

Patience and respect are Alexander's main priorities in every summer camp. He has a uniquely high tolerance for the infinite "Why" questions that our counselors receive each day, making him very popular with the youngest participants. Alexander encourages all campers to find their passion, just as he is always exploring new ways to be a better leader.

Ruofan is a college freshman. He has contributed to research at the University of Houston and was Carnegie Vanguard High School's 2020 salutatorian. Ruofan set up Lessonologists' tutor-tutee match system as well as its math tutoring services.
